  • The remains of what once was a good market is now just a bad over priced car boot fair. The same old same old stuff.
  • Vast range of goods to choose from and any traders we dealt with were very pleasant. Only problem was that a few stalls started packing up early. Overall though it was well worth the visit.
  • It is a while since I had been to the market on Tynemouth station and in that time it has grown. A vast array of all sorts of temptation is available: antiques, junk, lovely craft items, food (in all ...  more »

  • Always good for a walk around, even if you dont want to buy anything there is always interesting things to look at. Parking is difficult, don't fall into the trap of parking in a restricted street you'll get a ticket. Of course the best way to arrive at this market is by Metro.
  • A fun and enjoyable few hours out. Great for looking at Christmas or birthday presents. It can get quite crowded sometime.
  • This is a very popular market. It's under a roof so dry whatever the weather. There's food stalls a couple of cafe's. It's also at the metro station so easily accessed
  • I haven't been to another market like it. Not only does it provide an array of crafts, unique food types, amazing coffees, local art and photography, antique furniture, one of a kind objects or pastimes...its protected by its glass canopy built in 1882. The market offers over 250 stalls and stretches along the rear of the platforms on both sides (don't worry, you can still catch the train). #Tynemouthmarkets runs every weekend of the year including most bank holiday Monday's. Tynemouth itself is also a beautiful place to visit with various restaurants and bars with a classy atmosphere, and of course the 13th century castle built in the cliff edge.
  • The market just keeps getting bigger and better. Not only a good place to find crafts, books, nostalgia and cakes but the selection of street food and coffee stalls is now excellent.
