  • Good tasty home cooked food prices are a little high but worth it. The place is very clean and staff friendly  more »
  • Simple honest food. Really good soups, recommend Cullen Skink and fresh home made bread. Perfect break on route to the Highlands. Love this place.  more »
  • Called in here after a snowy hike looking for something hearty and warming. Certainly found it here. The Cullen skink was tasty as was the enormous scone with jam and cream. Extensive gift shop to cat...  more »

  • Great stop, food lovely but expensive. The gift shop is lovely but also pricey. There is a lovely tourist board across the road. I love this little place all together. Nice to sit with a cuppa and watch the motorbikes go by.
  • One of those places that should not be good but is. Frequently busy with coach parties but a no nonsense (the tea and coffee comes out of a pot so will beat a Costa by about half an hour) quick turn around always see you served quickly whatever the queue. Always clean and tidy.
  • Don't know what half the people writing these reviews are on about, food was rubbish and served half cold, it was overpriced and the salad looked like it had been stored for several weeks. The ingredients were far from fresh. Only upside was the quick service, although i can't imagine it's hard to make up a burger when the ingredients were prepared a week earlier. My advice, keep driving and find somewhere else
  • Pop in to the "Green Welly" several time's a year on my way north for fishing trip's. It's a great pit stop. Especially on the return trip. Which is approximately a 4 hour drive. It break's the journey & it's a landmark in it's own right. The service is great, considering it's so busy. Also, you name it, they stock it. If your passing, you must have a look in. Great place!
  • A Home from Home! Popular Biker/Motor and Cycling Pit Stop. Nearby roads are fantastically scenic. Roads Littered with tourists, caravans and speed checks/police in summer season. The Green Welly is a welcome rest from all the frenzy. A must-see if you're within 50 miles and have the urge to see some classic vehicles, exotica, scenery and travellers from beyond the seas.
