  • You would never guess, from it's proximity to the urban landscape nearby, what a little gem this place is. Hidden down a long lane which opens up to the driveway of the house, beautiful in its own right, this is a treasure trove of the most exquisite artworks relating to nature and wildlife. All kinds of media are represented, from wooden, glass and metal sculptures (both inside and out in the gardens), traditional and contemporary style paintings, to the most amazing photographic work and the exhibitions change often so there's always something new and wonderful to see. The cafe serves lovely (and good value!) light lunches and homemade cakes and the staff are so friendly and helpful too. I've just been to see the incredible talent of local glass artist Amanda Lawrence, whose latest exhibition here included a perfectly matched collaboration with local childrens' story writer Christine O'Neill. Amanda depicted some of the wildlife featured in Christine's latest book, "The Wrong Sort of Dark" about a little girl who wasn't used to the different nature of countryside darkness to that in the town. I loved how the exhibition took us through Amanda's walking researches of the area and the thought processes, stage by stage, that went into the making of each piece. Fascinating. Looking forward to the Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition in the New Year and to the many other exhibitions planned for 2017. PS It's a great place to take children as there are so many activities there that they can get involved in but be aware that many book up early as they're so popular!
  • Great range of nature related art and a regular artist in residence. Well worth a visit
  • This is a lovely manor house on the edge of Gloucester with really nice exhibition areas (both inside and out) for various forms of art. There is a coffee shop on site and you can take a stroll around the gardens. Ample parking on site. Definitely worth a visit.
  • Visited to see the photography exhibition - we enjoyed it, but didn't spend very long there.
  • Great place for a spot of lunch.
