Inspirock Rating:
3.2/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web
When it opened in 2007, Chill Factore was the widest indoor ski center in the world. At 180 m (590 ft) long and 100 m (330 ft) wide, it claims the Guinness Book record for the longest chain of skiers to travel 100 m (330 ft) without breaking. Besides indoor piste skiing, the center also houses Alpine Village and a number of snow activities that don't require strapping on skis, including snow tubing, sledging, air-boarding, a snow zipper, and "Avalanche" snow sphering. The latter puts a rider into a giant ball that rolls down the snowy slope, simulating what it might be like to be inside an avalanche boulder. If you're hungry after your snow sports, visit the Mont Blanc Restaurant on the upper deck of Alpine Village to dine with a view. • An excellent experience for beginners and experts there is something for everyone if you don't have the equipment don't worry they provide you with all the equipment you need.
  • A great indoor ski slope. It's all very straight forward getting your gear ready and out onto the slope. The snow conditions seemed a little worse than when I'd been a few years ago but it was fine. It's a great place to learn or dust off the cobwebs but any accomplished skier/boarder will be bored after 2 runs.
  • A great experience for family in taster snowboard session. Great facilities and extensive parking. Staff were friendly and large selection of food. Gave 4/5 due to it being expensive and a little bit of a free for all in the changing area when queueing for gear.
  • The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great customer service. I did a snowboard fun taster session which was not for me but was well run. I was also able to try a ski fun taster session which was amazing! Would definitely recommend. The only issue is that it is a bit pricy which can be off putting
  • Went here for my birthday - we did the Big Day Out. We did a Ski Fun Taster, the Snow Park, and then the Snowboard Fun Taster. It's super fun, and they have really helpful staff! Would definitely recommend.
  • Its a great place to brush up on or skills or even learn from scratch. Its got a large real snow slope. You can hire everything. Lessions can be costly considering but look out for deals and u can get the price right down. Lots of shops here & a Nandos! Sale time is march -april time for snow gear.
