  • The way to get to this castle is not obvious. The signage is poor to this Mott and Bailey Castle which should be more easy to get to. It is owned by English Heritage who charge a fee to walk around it...  more »
  • Good views of local area. Peaceful and interesting. Not very big but I still really liked it. Trees in the grounds were really nice. Good place for a picnic.

  • Great place to visit while in Totnes. You need probably no longer than 1-hour to maximise your visit.
  • For 4.50 each you get an open air tower a walk around the top and what I think must have been maybe a toilet , you can walk it in 10 min tops
  • This is a fine example of a medieval motte and bailey castle overlooking a quaint Devonian town.
  • Very peaceful round motte castle. The views from the castle walls are wonderful. You can see most of the town and far beyond.
  • The "castle " is a ringed wall with grass in its centre. If you like looking at rooftops this is the place to go. £4 for entry though is way to much. You will spend 10 mins tops there
