  • The Needles are a great way to pass a few hours/ a day. The chairlift to the beach is pretty damned impressive, unfortunately the boats weren't running (-but do you want to be on a boat in rough weather?) we loved the sweet making demonstration, our daughter enjoyed the rides, there's mini golf, a 4d cinema, glass blowing demonstrations, shopping, some good walks, a fantastic Santa Claus at Christmas, the friendliest fox I've ever seen and, of course, the Needles themselves. But do your research. The weather and season is going to play a big part in your experience, you can check the website or call ahead to check what's on. If there's a howling gale blowing, then the chairlift and boat out to the Needles are probably not going to be running, but then would you want to be on a chairlift in a storm? If the tide's right in, you might not be allowed to get off at the bottom of the lift, so whilst it's a fantastic ride down, it's something to be aware of. Over winter they shut the lift down too, we found out after we turned up last year. But we should've checked. The prices are reasonable enough, however you'll need £5 in cash on you for the all day parking as the car park doesn't take cards although parking was free when we went later in the year. A lovely day with some spectacular views and experiences, just take the weather into account!
  • Took the chairlift down to the beach and back up. A beautiful beach but its a shame the ferry ride to the lighthouse was cancelled. Nice place over all to visit with kids. The sand art was so much fun.
  • Good place to spend your day... options for food and entertainment.... chair lift is a must...
  • Lovely views. But on the day it was very windy. Didn't spoil the day though, actually quite fun.
  • Caught the chairlift down to the beach and took the boat trip around the Needles and then a walk up to them. Legendary place to visit. A bit of a WW2 museum up there in the tunnels.
