Walk through a 65 m (213 ft) tunnel to catch the best views of one of Britain's most famous coastal landmarks, the Needles. See the remains of a rocket site and the rocket testing display from the 1950s and 60s. Take in panoramic views from the tearoom at the Port, War Signal Station. To reach the battery walk 20 minutes uphill from the car park, or catch a shuttle.   • We walked from the Tennyson Monument to the battery along the cliffs on a very windy day. The views were outstanding. The Needles Battery had excellent explanation boards. Worth a visit.
