  • Catch 62 bus from marina side opposite Debenhams on Torquay. Very pretty surroundings with unusual thatch cottages and old wheel mill. Lovely ice-cream. A few craft stalls with good glass blowing with very good items on sale. Food at the manor is privy because only outlet there.
  • Good walks around the grounds, including the lakes and gardens. Nice tea room also has outdoor eating area. Dogs on leads allowed inside. Nice shop in the main building, some craft workshops to investigate behind, plus other shops eg craft/ chocolate / gifts. Lost a star because of 3 niggles - the toilets inside the court were not as clean as they could be, some of the shops do not open on Mon/ Tues ( we were there on a Monday), and the kitchen garden appeared very uncared for. Parking £1 per hour up to 3 hours, £4.50 over 3 hours.
  • Beautìful house and gardens with craft outlets in the court yards surrounding. Scenic walks Well maintained and posted. Well kept generally but slightly too commercial for my liking. Being local I am fortunate enough to be able to go slightly out of season. Would recommend it.
  • There is something for everyone here. With the vast amount of grounds to discover you could easily spend the day here. The workshop and crafts available have something for everyone. The glass blowing is always a favourite I visit. There is a coffee shop with seating inside and outside. Dogs are welcome here and water bowls are provided too. Plenty of green space and tranquillity.
  • Great place to visit. The building is well maintained and the the grounds have a nice variety of features to explore. Entrance is generally a little pricey when events are held, but a day well spent nonetheless.
