Babbacombe, Torquay

4.7
#2 of 11 in Sightseeing in Torquay
Neighborhood Tourist Spot
A district notable for its model village, beach, and cliff-top green, Babbacombe is a leisurely area full of all things English. Visit the Babbacombe Downs for the races, or take a short ride on the Babbacombe Cliff Railway for pleasant views. The Church of All Saints is constructed of local marble and houses some remarkable stonework. The model village is a miniature of the town itself, but with ironically named shops and cafes that tend to inspire giggles from visitors. Check out the district's website for special events. Babbacombe is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Torquay Edition.
