Plodda Falls (Gaelic: Eas Ploda) is a waterfall, situated 5 km south-west of the village of Tomich, near Glen Affric, in the Highlands of Scotland. The falls are 46 m high, and are on the Allt na Bodachan, near where it flows into the Abhainn Deabhag, which in turn joins with the River Affric to form the River Glass.Choose to start, finish, or center your holiday on a trip to Plodda Falls by using our Tomich sightseeing planning site.
Plodda Falls are a popular tourist attraction. In 1880, a footbridge was built across the top of the falls, by Lord Tweedmouth, who owned the Guisachan estate. In 2005, the Forestry Commission found this bridge to be dangerous, and it was closed. It was replaced by a new viewing platform in 2009.

We had a lucky stop off to give the dogs a break, and they loved the walk and straight into the shallows for a cooling dip. Beautiful spot and impressive beautiful falls.

Best waterfall ever, it's a must see if you're in the area. Bit of a steep climb to get to it, but worth it! The viewing platform above is a bit daunting, but a must do activity.

Stunning Falls but the drive to the car park was "interesting" !! Once off the main road there's a few miles of single track tarmac road (with the obligatory "passing points") but the last 2 miles to the car park is rough gravel, single track, strewn with very deep potholes ! However, once there and having reached the falls (15 minutes from the car park) it's all worth it. The view from the viewing platform at the top is very dramatic, but you have to follow the path down the side of the falls to get the view from the bottom - that is fantastic. Well worth the stress of getting there !!
Beautiful waterfall with unique viewing platform. A drive via scenic "B" road, followed by forest road, takes you to the car park for these falls. From there it's a short walk to the platform to view the fall from the top. Such a viewing platform is quite a unique feature. You can then follow one of the easy to moderate walking paths, taking you to another view point of the fall and then scenic forest
Absolutely gorgeous area with a nice diverse little hike. The accent to the car park in snow/ice is probably inadvisable unless you have a 4x4 but we just managed in a 2 wheel drive.
Amazing. Did the long walk, hours or so. Nice natural terrain. Slow gentle slope down to the stream below, my dog loved it. Was nice and quiet. Then all the way up the steps to the viewing point. If you don’t mind the hight you’ll love it. Free parking. Zero facilities. Well, there were free maps. Plenty of water for the dogs.
Beautiful place to visit. 10-15 mins walk to the waterfalls from the car park. Amazing place with a various viewpoints. Stunning view however if you are afraid of heights it can be a challenge for you.
