  • Well worth a visit, a great variety of birds to see. You can hire binoculars if you haven't got your own.

  • We were surprised to see the carpark so full that we had to park in the over flow car park. It only costs £5 to park all day! We were given a map by a warden so we set off on the well maintained West Bank path which is suitable for buggies of all descriptions! We visited all the hides along the way and although we're not as keen bird watchers as most of the visitors there we were very impressed with the facilities. We then walked along to the beach and enjoyed the beautiful views. We then came back to the cafe and enjoyed a warming hot chocolate as we walked back to the car where we had our picnic before setting off to walk the meadow and east trail. There are toilets and a well stocked shop too. The only odd thing I find about it is that you order your food and drinks from a hatch which is not connected to the cafe, you then wait inside for your order but I don't know how you know it is ready? Anyway a really love way to spend a day what ever the weather!
  • A really nice place to go bird watching and to take out the family take a walk at the beach and it's proper sand at the beach listed 70 Birds when I was there with some professional bird watchers ..
  • Always something to see here. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
  • A great RSPB reserve, one of the best I have been to. Trail hunts for the children to get involved, not a huge amount of wildlife to be seen but that is the nature of nature.
  • Great place to visit. Good paths (wheelchair friendly), ample parking, shop, hides and of course the bird life.
