  • Lovely walk along the sea front and pop into the Haven tea rooms to have a bite to eat. You can also buy some food to feed the swans and ducks that are near by. Nice views and a lovely place to sit and relax.
  • Beautiful sanctuary for wildlife. Stunning beach too.
  • Great place to watch the wildlife and get a cup of tea and cake afterwards.
  • Beautiful place to relax. Great for twitchers.
  • Through the gate is the small visitor's centre, which acts as a gift shop where you can buy bird food and other small gifts related to the whole nature theme. Entry is very cheap, which makes it a very affordable day out if you have a large family. You can also purchase a bird and boat spotter sheet which is a fun activity to do while you are there. There are two sides to the reserve, East and West, one side more woodland and the other side marshes. We took the wooded side, but I would recommend the other side if you want to see more nature, as we only managed to spot the occasional bird, like a robin. Through the hides you don't see that much as well, as we found out that the geese and birds were on the opposite side to the hide. Each walk varies in length but are both enjoyable. However there is a great cafe which sells cheap hot drinks to accompany you on your journey, and for the very affordable entry I would come here if you love the outdoors!
