  • It's lovely here, very tranquil and plenty to see even in the winter when some impressive and internationally rare birds show up (was lucky enough to see lots of Brent Geese). Don't miss the viewing b...  more »

  • Through the gate is the small visitor's centre, which acts as a gift shop where you can buy bird food and other small gifts related to the whole nature theme. Entry is very cheap, which makes it a very affordable day out if you have a large family. You can also purchase a bird and boat spotter sheet which is a fun activity to do while you are there. There are two sides to the reserve, East and West, one side more woodland and the other side marshes. We took the wooded side, but I would recommend the other side if you want to see more nature, as we only managed to spot the occasional bird, like a robin. Through the hides you don't see that much as well, as we found out that the geese and birds were on the opposite side to the hide. Each walk varies in length but are both enjoyable. However there is a great cafe which sells cheap hot drinks to accompany you on your journey, and for the very affordable entry I would come here if you love the outdoors!
  • Beautiful little nature reserve with several hides. Coastal location so gets good selection of waders and other migratory birds for the area. Nice café and shop on site as well as next to a nice bit of coastline with good views across the Solent.
  • Aa amazing nature reserve with a nice little cafe.
  • Beautiful walks with excellent hides where the many species of birds can be seen. Good facilities with shop, toilets and café.
  • Nature at its best! All year round.
