  • I can't comment on the Haven itself as we just visited the beach, but the cafe was lovely- my daughter even had her sandwiches delivered in a paper bag tucked inside a small bucket and spade that she ...  read more »

  • Beautiful reserve with very peaceful surroundings and hides which my grandchildren love going into. The cafe and shop is a must and the duck food very popular with children.
  • Through the gate is the small visitor's centre, which acts as a gift shop where you can buy bird food and other small gifts related to the whole nature theme. Entry is very cheap, which makes it a very affordable day out if you have a large family. You can also purchase a bird and boat spotter sheet which is a fun activity to do while you are there. There are two sides to the reserve, East and West, one side more woodland and the other side marshes. We took the wooded side, but I would recommend the other side if you want to see more nature, as we only managed to spot the occasional bird, like a robin. Through the hides you don't see that much as well, as we found out that the geese and birds were on the opposite side to the hide. Each walk varies in length but are both enjoyable. However there is a great cafe which sells cheap hot drinks to accompany you on your journey, and for the very affordable entry I would come here if you love the outdoors!
  • Delightful place, adjacent to the sea shore, with access to various walks and hides that give good sight the amazing and various range of birds life that call by.
  • One of the top nature reserves in the South of England
  • A great little spot.
  • Lovely little place to visit.
