Create an itinerary including Westonbirt Arboretum
Come to Westonbirt Arboretum for its internationally renowned collection of trees. The venue has labeled nearly 15,000 individual trees covering some 3,000 types. Walk along a self-guided trail to see species such as maple, magnolia, white beam, and oak. Keep an eye out for rare varieties such as the Brazilian pine, dawn redwood, and Patagonian cypress. The 240 hectares (600 acres) of land host various types of birds, so bring your binoculars if you enjoy bird-watching. You can visit the arboretum any time of year: colorful flowers and blossoms show themselves in spring, leaves are most plentiful in summer, a kaleidoscope of colors comes out in autumn, and conifers stand out in winter. If you have difficulty exploring the venue on foot, inquire about borrowing one of the available electric scooters. • My first visit to Westonbirt Arboretum back in November 2022 and only live half an hour away wished I’d gone sooner! Really enjoyed my day out with the family and will certainly be visiting again...

  • Ordered a "Christmas gift" membership for my wife back on the 27th November, still no card which now means no "Christmas gift"! Since the order in November my wife is questioning why is Westonbirt...

  • Amazing place with so many options of trails! The autumn colors are incredible!!!! 🍂🍁 We spent 6 hours just walking around and exploring... The trails are accessible and there is also a tree top bridge which was a great attraction for our son! The food stands were great too! Highly recommended!
  • Beautiful walk, definitely recommend going in autumn, the colours were stunning 😍 lots of amazingly large trees. The paths were nice and flat so very relaxing stroll and accessible for all. My only complaint was that there were only toilets at the entrance, it would have been helpful to have some toilets along the routes.
  • I have visited Westonbirt 3 times now as I wanted to shoot the Autumn colours. The first visit was in the Acacia Avenue and then the second two the Maple Loop. Both are stunning, the colours are vibrant, the yellows reds and oranges have really been dramatic this year. This is a large site , you will need plenty of time to get round everything. There are plenty of stalls for coffee, and plenty of take away choices. The staff are absolutely lovely and always give me good tips for my photos, please thank them for me. This is a lovely visit easily deserving five stars, and deserves its reputation as one of the best arboretums in the country. I will let the images (hopefully) do the talking. A Photo Tip if I may. Shoot more Landscape as opposed to portrait. We see in landscape, our field of vision is Landscape 3X2 (width X height). While sensors vary in size, most sensors are Landscape 3X2 (both camera and phone), they mimic what our sub conscious is most comfortable with and expects to see. .
  • We didn't choose the best day as the weather was rather misty but we still had a fabulous day enjoying walks through the trees. The walkway is such a good idea, lovely views and lots of interactive information available. The facilities are plentiful and everywhere was very clean. We also had a nice lunch in the Kitchen. Clearly a well organized location with lots of space for events. We left feeling restored and relaxed.
  • Visited a while back, but had to revisit for those beautiful autumn sights. I had a pleasant experience wandering the vast grounds, its quite popular (so don't expect it to be a sanctuary of serenity), but overall everything was chill! There is a café and a restaurant with coffee and cakes, and other refreshment stands, all were quite standard.
