Come to Westonbirt Arboretum for its internationally renowned collection of trees. The venue has labeled nearly 15,000 individual trees covering some 3,000 types. Walk along a self-guided trail to see species such as maple, magnolia, white beam, and oak. Keep an eye out for rare varieties such as the Brazilian pine, dawn redwood, and Patagonian cypress. The 240 hectares (600 acres) of land host various types of birds, so bring your binoculars if you enjoy bird-watching. You can visit the arboretum any time of year: colorful flowers and blossoms show themselves in spring, leaves are most plentiful in summer, a kaleidoscope of colors comes out in autumn, and conifers stand out in winter. If you have difficulty exploring the venue on foot, inquire about borrowing one of the available electric scooters. • When is Westonbirt going to stop this ridiculous, time wasting, spontaneity robbing, inconvenient booking system? Only half of our booking made the allotted time slot today, as it was taking longer...

  • I would give Westonbirt 6 stars if I could. It was a truly memorable day and the kids loved it. The grounds are massive and there is so much to see and do. It's very peaceful and quiet even when it's busy, you can find a remote spot. We could easily come back again many times and still not see everything there is to see. Highest possible recommendation!
  • Ideal place to see so many different trees. A warm autumn day is the best time to visit. The colours of the tress in this place are just so beautiful. There are some trees whose leaves are yellow at this time of year and some are different shades of red. There are also plenty of facilities here, food places and toilets. All working normally.
  • Absolutely fantastic day out. The park land is immaculately kept. Very friendly and welcoming. Staff happy to help. Facilities are easily accessible and clean. We will be visiting again shortly.
  • Westonbirt is a beauty to behold with the added experience of the treetop walkway which is safe for all of us including children and those with mobility scooters or wheelchairs. The only negative for me is no admittance price drop if you can only secure a late afternoon entry time. So book in advance and get totally immersed in this nature wonder.
  • Went midweek in November, £11 entry was very quiet which was really nice. Dogs welcome in Silk wood only but plenty of space, could easily wander for 2-3 hours. Food served through the door of cafe and outside seating.
