Tour a royal garden at Highgrove Gardens, surrounding the family residence of the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall. The lush establishment maintained by the prince since 1980 features a number of scented plants including honeysuckle, holboellia, and thyme. The wildflower meadow pays particular attention to native endangered species such as ragged robin, meadow crane's bill, and ox-eye daisies. A guide will tell you all about Prince Charles's gardening style. Book in advance and bring some ID with you, but leave your camera behind. Beautiful garden. Tea room excellent. Best scone I have ever had. Unfortunately no photography was allowed, understandably, but photo opportunities could be set up in certain spots to allow HRH...

Fantastic service, great food. What a wonderful place to have Christmas dinner. We were all bowled over by the your staff as soon as we entered the gates.

Always a pleasure to visit and so much to learn from informative and witty guides.. Depending on the season the tour takes a different route.
-
We enjoyed the spring walk here with a guided tour round the gardens which was interesting and there is a great cafe too.
-
The gardens were amazing even in the middle of October. Our guide was charming and made the tour interesting and fun. The gift shop is a bit pricey. Food and service in the tea rooms was excellent.
-
Worth a visit even if you have to go out of your way you won't be disappointed
