The Dinosaur Park, Tenby

3.7
#2 of 6 in Theme Parks in Pembrokeshire
More than 30 animated dinosaurs are ready to meet you at The Dinosaur Park. Realistically created based on the latest paleontological finds, the creatures along the dinosaur trail range from the gentle to the ferocious, including the celebrated Tyrannosaurus rex. Fascinating for older children and adults, the replicas may be a little too lifelike for those easily startled. The park also offers family fun rides, a games garden, and twice-daily fossil hunts in the indoor amphitheater. • We spent the day here and our 7 and 5 year olds loved it! Plenty to do and see, kids and adults were kept entertained all day and had a great time.  more »

  • Great Wedlock is a fantastic day out and is really best for kids between the ages of 3-8, which is not normally the way theme parks usually go. Most of the rides, amusements and things to do target smaller children; that's not to say old kids won't like it, just that for kids at the 3-8 age, it's a great place where they can really get involved and the dinosaur trail is great. A really good walk with the promise of some amazing dinosaurs and facts hidden in the trees. Can't say enough good things about it really, the only downside (not enough to take away a star) is that kids tickets and adults are almost level pegging.
  • This was unexpected .... what great value for money - expected the worse but was pleasantly surprised! The kids (5&6) had a superb time - so did us adults! Go on the rides as much as you like with most being free and those you have to pay for... well we found one for a quid a go and the others? 2p a go.... I know - we thought it was a typo in their leaflet but there really are rides that are 2p a go!! Lots of fun to be had and we spent over half a day here, it is highly recommended, but do take your own lunch - the park is good, however food is not a strong point!
  • It was a great day out with my family. Only thing that was a bit of a downer happened at the play den. If you are in a wheel chair accessing the disabled toilet in there is a nightmare experience. It was ok getting on to the bark but getting back on the path was difficult as I was pushing an adult and unable to tilt them back. Little ramps would have helped here. The picnic area is lovely but we kept being surrounded by wasps so didn't stay in that area long. The play area is lovely for both young and older children. The dinosaur walk was lovely. Very young children in push chairs and the elderly are unable to go on the dinosaur safari due to the slopes and fast moving dinosaurs. While walking the trail you get to meet dinosaurs and read the information. Some of them make sounds.
  • Very disappointed. Too expensive for what was there. Best bit after an hour there was the exit sign. Won't be returning
  • Brilliant day out for small children. Our 2.5 year old loved it all : walking around the trail looking out for the dinosaurs, the indoor & outdoor play areas. He was a little too small for a lot of the self drive ride ons to be able to work them himself but he loved it anyway. The majority of the ride ons take 2p to use - this was great as it meant we didn't feel limited to what we could play on for fear of making it a ridiculously expensive day out!! The dinosaur safari was great - Peter who drove us round really made that experience. He obviously loved his job & had a real knowledge of dinosaurs & interacted brilliantly with the kids. The only downside was the cafe - there wasn't a great amount of choice & it wasn't overly exciting when it came but that obviously isn't what the place is about. Highly recommend!!
