  • What a wonderful venue. Beautifully restored/maintained with a great hosting from a team of friendly volunteers. Thank you all - we will be returning!
  • Been to the Regal many many times and I just felt it was time to give it the praise it deserves. The volunteer staff are always so friendly and helpful. Ticket prices are a bargain and the whole exper...  read more »
  • Gorgeous old preserved cinema , staff to greet you outside staff to show you to your seat with torches . The only thing missing for me was the interval with the ice cream seller standing at the front ...  read more »
  • I have been a few times before and generally had good service. However a few weeks ago I ordered and paid for our food 3 days before we were due to go only for the £90 in total order to have been forgotten about. I went to ask where it was but was once the movie had started, roughly 20 minutes in, having presumed they were busy and not to make a fuss initially (and as generally it's not unusual for it to arrive around that point) to be told it would take another 30 minutes to prepare and was given no explanation as to what had happened. So I decided to leave it, as with kids in the party, we would still have been eating presumably after the end of the film. I was given no apology by the guy on the desk who seemed to see the entire issue as a nuisance to him. When I asked for my money back, he said, no come back at the end... Which I did, to another not very apologetic lady. I left feeling like I had made it politely clear that we were disappointed, but it was clear they had little interest in the situation, and so deciding that in this case, this was the best forum for any feedback to be given. Perhaps rather than exasperatingly pushing their fund raising for their £50k extension plans before each film, they should first concentrate on the standard of their current business.
  • Great venue re done in art deco style from a derilict former picture house. A real change from multiplex cinemas. Great food and drink which can be preordered and brought to your table. Can be a pricey evening once food drinks and tickets are taken into account but on the whole well worth it and a great cinema experience.
  • Old time film society style showings in old atmospheric cinema. Comfortable viewing from the circle seats and tables for food service downstairs. A unique venue!
  • The cinema is great, the seats are really nice either downstairs on the tables or upstairs in the 'love seats' but the website is truly awful! Booking on line is next to impossible - I tried several browsers on several devices, all of which fail to book. I did get through one time & it claimed to have declined my card but actually took the payment three times! I phoned the cinema who promised me a refund which took a week to get back onto the card. My advice, phone the cinema, don't use a Santander card to book your seats, any other way will leave you frustrated! Oh yes & how do you find out when the box office is open? I can't see it anywhere on the website!
  • Went to see rick wakeman the show was great but did not like the venue. The seats were awful it was so hot no air con and £3.75 for popcorn prob won't go again
