  • Thanks to our many trips through Scotland we have may participate in very many distillery tours and the guided tour of the Balblair distillery was one of the greatest (similar to great I found also Strathisla, small tip). We have reserved a tour online, and because we were at the absolute low season there, we had a private tour to speak with Julie. She was absolutely wonderful, has us shows all details and special features of Balblair and the best: I was allowed to take pictures everywhere. This was possible when otherwise so far no Distellery. Really wonderful. The team and the entire distillery Act so sympathetic as the whisky: the Washback are still made of wood, the whisky is colored either artificially (with sugar) or cold gefiltet. Simply fabulous, we would recommend any whiskey lover to visit this Distellery. The try DRAM was also very tasty, I got mine as a driver in a small glass vial (for which I've... had to pay extra in some distilleries) Thank you, Julie!

  • The distillery made sure that my knowledgeable kids with their whisky expert father was well looked after throughout. Thoroughly enjoyed the visit.  more »
