  • Come out and walk just straight from the Swansea station. There are only a small part of the wall only. It is difficult to imagine the past from here. Before the city walls had become the Olympic fan zone.

  • There seems to be a reasonable amount of the castle there as ruins, but it is all essentially cordoned off from the public. Ok for taking a couple of photos, but you would think that the council would...  more »

  • Nothing amazing, there isn't much left of it but it looks interesting with the modern BT building in the background.
  • You can't go inside, but it's pretty great to be walking up the high street and randomly see a castle in the middle of 'downtown' Swansea.
  • Unlike other castles in this part of Wales this isn't the type that charges you to enter. This is probably because it doesn't actually have four walls and so might be a bit unfair to expect you to pay to walk among the crumbling walls. All in all it is not the grandest castle in the wall but it does add some character to the otherwise dire walkway from the town centre to Parc Tawe. On the weekends you will sometimes see people drinking flagons of cider so there's always that if you fancy a bit of culture.
  • More than a castle this is what's left of the castle. It's just on the city center and it's chased by the new buildings. It won't take you more than 5 minutes to take a look at it.
  • The best castle to visit of swansea.
