  • Always a pleasure - well maintained park with lots to see and things to engage most people. Stunning views on the walks, seabird and dolphin watching, fantastic food at the castle (though slightly on the expensive side, it does use local fresh and high quality ingredients). The castle itself has a modest visitor centre and shop, and I particularly like the all terrain wheelchair and buggy hire!
  • Lovely park. Absolutely beautiful views and walks along the costal line. The cafe is also lovely with good views, however the staff were slow, and the place kept running out of certain basic foods, such as bacon, and panini bread.
  • Great walks along the cliffs and into Swanage. Up market tea rooms in mock castle. Views of light house and dolphins.
  • A fabulous country park that covers all of Durlston Head near Swanage. A number of good walks both within the park and along the coast. The globe is not to be missed and there are great views out to sea from the light house. The cafe / restaurant is very good and therefore popular. There are stunning views across to the Isle of White and past Peveril point and Swanage bay to Bournemouth. There are a number of picnic tables and benches scattered through the park if you fancy taking your own food. A good place for wildlife spotting especially birds and from time to time seals and dolphins.
  • Superb views. Ideal start point for the coastal path. Excellent interactive fossil displays. Picnic area in the large grassy area. Restaurant is a bit upmarket and expensive and very limited choice. Parking charges. Probably best to get a £5 ticket for all day. Local bus service stops here. Excellent wheelchair access and you can borrow a heavy duty one to do the coast path.
