  • Beautiful country park, very much worth a visit for the views alone. Bring a picnic, sit and enjoy. Has an exhibition which is very informative. Has a cafe but we did not visit it on this occasion.

  • We recently visited Durlston Country Park, our second visit and twice in a year. It's such a great place to be. Really great views with safe paths along the coast trails - which is important to us as we have a 1 year old child. All floors of the castle are accessible by lifts - apart from the very top floor, which has a few steps into the room. The top floor of the castle has seating and a few children's toys. It's normally nice and quiet up there and we eat a packed lunch while our son plays with the toys. Looking forward to visiting again.
  • Visited for the day - not disappointed. Variety of self led walks available - Wildlife, Woodland, Clifftop and Victorian trails each lasting about an hour. Helpful staff in Visitor Centre. Good restoration of the castle with amazing views from indoor cafe or terrace. Seventhwave cafe serves good food all day with friendly servers - on Friday & Saturday evenings open from 6pm with their Evening Menu - well worth visiting and veggie options too.
  • Fantastic views and great scenery. Stumbled upon this place as the weather wasnt great in Swanage. The kids loved it as did we. Free to get in,just had to pay for the car park which was reasonable. Nice cafe and very helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend to all.
  • Large coastal country park with a recently restored castle. Long and short walks along the coast to a lighthouse, amazing views across the Solent. Cafe is a bit pricey but they serve nice food.
  • Beautiful and interesting place to visit....if you take a picnic. Cant give this five stars due to the expensive-posh restaurant there. No provision given for families on a budget, with basic food.
