  • Absolutely brilliant evening, made even better by the knowledge of the young lady presenting. Captivated by the owls! A camera is a must have item when visiting. Would revisit if given the chance  more »

  • Some good walks around here. Quiet enough to be relaxing but can get noisy around the play area as expected. Foods good and reasonably priced. Only reason it hasn't got 5 states is the play area being on 2 levels so I have to keep chasing up and down the hill. nothing major but if you've got 3+kids can get tricky keeping track of them all
  • If you want a peaceful walk in the national forest it is possible here if you can avoid the crowds. The visitor centre is aimed at children, soft play area, bouncy castles, etc. So in good weather it can be loud. There is a shop, didn't go in, and a cafe which I felt was a little bit pricey (£12+ for 2 toasted sandwiches and 2 cups of tea, make up your own mind on that ) also the car park was restrictive. 2 choices of length of stay, 1hr or all day. The pay and display machines weren't easy to find and when I did find one it was out of order so spent the first 10 minutes or so trying to pay for parking. All that said, it is worth a visit as there are some nice walks and informative notices about the flora and fauna. It would depend on what you're looking for on a visit, really.
  • Beautiful park. I feel we only saw a fraction of it. Amazingly carvings great play areas a sensory garden and lots of paths to walk round. Didn't go in the cafe but the facilities were good. Nice courtyard type area with class rooms. Parking charges apply and we're not too bad
  • An excellent place for walking your dog's, or burning of your children's excess energy. A choice of routes around the centre facilitating short or long walks through the woods. A park/play area adjacent to the main buildings, together with an assault course type park within the grounds. There are also a couple of ponds within the grounds, one of which you can fish for £5.00 a day.
  • Love it here many walks crazy golf nice play area and it's great to take the dog.....has a cafe but plenty of room for a picnic if you want to take your own.
