Diggerland, Strood
(4.2/5 based on 600+ reviews on the web)
Kids of all ages drive mini land rovers and operate heavy machinery at Diggerland. Built by the largest construction equipment supplier in England, machines are the essence of this new style of theme park. Play with the gigantic toys to complete a variety of games, such as moving small objects or tons of dirt. In addition, there are other more typical theme park attractions, such as a safari, sky tower, and merry-go-round. Many rides require heights over 90 cm (35 in), so very young children are limited to the play areas and sandpits of the park. • Our family, a 5 year old girl, 3 year old boy, enjoyed their time here. However, having paid just paid the £80 entry fee for a family of four, we came to coin operated diggers and pay as you go dodgems - £1 each please! Upstairs in the cafe area, Go Karts - a fiver please! Considering the entry fee, I thought this was a bit much. Admittedly we could have saved 15% on the entry fee if we had booked online in advance. Overall, the ride on digger experiences are fun, and it was an interesting a novel day out If you have a child who loves big machines, or you love big boys toys, you'll have a fantastic time here.
  • Great day out for the kids and adults. Well worth a visit, not a full days activities, I arrived at 12pm, and left at 5pm, that was enough for me and the kids, however the day I went was not too busy, little or no queues so was a plus. If I had needed to queue for long periods like some other theme parks I would be seriously disappointed. Would recommend for both boys and girls, I have both, and they equally enjoyed the day, may not appeal to teenagers as many of the rides are better suited to younger children, in my opinion ideal age 5-12yrs old, they will be suitably entertained.
  • Great place. I wasn't expecting it to be that much fun but was pleasantly surprised. Oh yeah.... My son loved it too :)
  • Would have been 5 star if not for the fact we were sold tokens at 4.50pm and told could use them to then be told we couldn't and couldn't get money back either.
  • Great day out with the kid. Current half term offer with pre booked tickets at half price definitely made the decision a lot easier to go.
