Diggerland, Strood

4.3
#1 of 9 in Things to do in Strood
Kids of all ages drive mini land rovers and operate heavy machinery at Diggerland. Built by the largest construction equipment supplier in England, machines are the essence of this new style of theme park. Play with the gigantic toys to complete a variety of games, such as moving small objects or tons of dirt. In addition, there are other more typical theme park attractions, such as a safari, sky tower, and merry-go-round. Many rides require heights over 90 cm (35 in), so very young children are limited to the play areas and sandpits of the park. • Stuff are friendly. Diggerland is reasonably priced and fun for everyone, drive thru mud in a bobcat, go on safari in a 4x4 or hook a duck with a mini digger. Everyone had fun, including parents. The ...  more »
  • Exceeded our expectations... Who would have thought you could get so many rides out of converted diggers?! Our 5 year old loved it as he could go on every ride, and many drive himself as he is above 1...  more »
  • Very good family day out, loved by the whole family (boys & girls a like) Lots of fun rides, most of which are suitable for 2-3 year old plus. Tesco vouchers make the visit more affordable.  more »

  • Great day out with the family, our 3 & 7 yr old thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait to return! A sneaky tip, quickly pop to a train station and buy a couple of cheap train tickets then go on the visit Kent website to get a 2 for 1 entry code. Cost us total of £4ish for the train tickets but instead of 4 x £20 entry it was 2 x £20! Staff were all really friendly and helpful, there really are plenty of fun things to satisfy all ages. We took a picnic with us but did buy drinks and biscuits which were a bit pricey, but this did not negatively impact our day. Will definitely be returning!
  • Strange place. Interesting and fun. Low quality everything. Probably not worth making a long journey especially for. 2 to 3 hours is pushing it for the 5 really different rides they have (many rides are the same thing packaged a little differently). You won't be disappointed going once... but you probably won't go back.
  • First visit after knowing of its existence for 20 years. Took the 3-3/4 years old granddaughter. She loved every moment. The staff team are all marvelous, friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Facilities were spotless and cleaned regularly. All of the features were interesting and kept kids of all ages (including me) entertained throughout the day. Cannot wait for the next visit.
  • I would rate it 5 stars of the staff had a bit more zip about them but otherwise a great day for the kids. Fun for parents too. The height ratings make it clear who can do what and there is enough to do for a 2 year old. Soft play and sand pit fill in some gaps.
  • Really good fun. Had a great time on the giant digger. Staff were fantastic, competent & fun. Especially Callum who put me through my "training" on the big digger.
