Old Trafford, Stretford

(4.6/5 based on 4,400+ reviews on the web)
Manchester United, one of the most popular soccer clubs in the world, makes its home at Old Trafford stadium. Constructed in 1920 with a capacity of almost 80,000, the stadium holds the title of second largest soccer stadium in England. While match tickets can be quite expensive, booking online in advance will help ensure the best price. To get a sense of the history of Old Trafford and a look behind the scenes at otherwise off-limit areas, like the players’ changing rooms, take a stadium tour and visit the state-of-the-art interactive museum. Due to the club's fame, book your tour in advance. For an extra-special experience, take a "Unique Tour," where you cruise to the stadium on a canal barge before taking part in the regular stadium tour. Stop by the megastore before leaving to pick up a jersey and other team souvenirs. Before you head to Stretford, plan trip itinerary details with our user-friendly Stretford vacation builder, to make sure you see all that Stretford has to offer, including Old Trafford.

  • Good value tour. Leave plenty of time for museum part, you won't want to miss any bits. Quite a lot of walking and up and down stairs on tour. Café expensive.  more »
  • Very interesting football stadium to visit. Very fine museum and stadium tour very interesting (dressing room players, dug out, ...) Very nice mega store and certainly not forget to visit the Red Cafe to Anna. An absolute must to do and if you are a fan of Manchester United is this actually an obligation:-)

  • Haven't been inside. But outside is really impressive. Club's history has been portrayed in way people can understand it easier. Very much accesable via metro/ road
  • Excellent Museum & Tour. For an extra special memory of the visit, I would definitely recommend paying the £25 to have the pictures from the press box put into a folder/book. They photoshop your child's picture onto different backgrounds and includes a newspaper article about them being signed by the club with a quote from Wayne Rooney about your child. I purchased these for my grandsons who were amazed by it and loved showing it off.
