  • Myself and my husband had never visited Daytona Manchester before although we knew it is there, A lot of our friends have been and thoroughly enjoyed themselves so they insisted we give it a try. Upon arriving the staff was very helpful until the time of the safety briefing. I don't know if this is policy or not but when the safety video commences staff leaves the room. In this case the individuals in the room thought it was below them to take note of the cautions being put before them and laying down their own laws on what the rules are and whom they were to be used on, As the video is ending the staff re-enters the room. At this point we were quite annoyed and intimidated. We proceeded to track side to helmet up an shown to our karts. Our karting experience has started, everyone experienced a few bumps and scrapes in the first minute or so whilst getting used to the kart and track however the bumps and scrapes didn't fade away they evolved into full on deliberate crashing and pushing (not just on corners either). A couple of black flags was raised in which the offenders wasn't fazed by this. The yellow flag rule was none existent, nobody kept in single file at a steady pace instead overtaking and undertaking was the norm as well as the deliberate bumping and crashing in the process of this. These actions of individuals on this day totally ruined our experience so we called it a day with ten minutes or so to go. It's a good job this wasn't a competitive race because nobody would have finished it. This is the first email I've ever sent regarding a complaint, but in this case these individuals were dangerous causing my husband to pull his shoulder and I pulled my side and hurt my ribs as a direct result of them purposely crashing into us.
  • Adrenalin filled days out don't come much better than this. An excellent, well staffed facility gives you an authentic racing experience. Safety is emphasized by the staff and briefings are thorough and we'll presented with good humour and lots of facts though not to the point of overloaded. Track layout is superb, allowing for some very exciting racing, overtaking and speed! Activities supervised throughout by attentive staff who are very quick to intervene in the event of spinouts or bumps. The place is due for an upgrade shortly and should be even better in a couple of months time. Highly recommended
  • Love it here I just wish that the track marshals were stricter with drivers who don't have a clue how to drive/or bump into you
  • Beware the regulars So my first impression was its clean, the karts look in good condition, race suits all look clean and new however the Martin Brundel safety video makes him look like some kind of pimp, with his gold chain and ego overflowing distracts from the importance of the briefing. Now as a member elsewhere, I have been karting for many years but the manner in which I saw the Marshall's befriend the regulars in a way that allows them to drive however they like is shocking, during my first (possibly last) visit I witnessed first hand that some of the regulars don't like to overtake safely, instead they opt to go full pelt into the rear of whichever Karter is next in their way, man, woman child, to them its all fair game So if someone is driving wrecklessly at this point you would think the Marshall's would step in, adhering to the well documented safety breif presented by the man himself, big DAWG Brundel but sadly no, no action is taken, possibly in fear of upsetting a regular customer. There were several instances I witnessed of dangerous conduct and one I was involved in. An accident ahead of me, I slowed down under waved yellows and aimed to avoid the crash, yet one driver who, through a lack of skill was unable to pass me for 10 or so laps, frustrated then decided this was his moment to pounce and rear ended me at full speed into the crashed karts ahead, causing a 5/6 kart crash laughing as he drove past the melee he single handedly made worse, luckily in spite of his actions no one was injured. That evening I was on a scouting visit to get a location for a new regional works team fortnightly race venue. Sorry Daytona, ultimately the lack of action by your Marshall's has lost that chance now, shame really as everything else was ok
  • Had a lot of fun here doing the GP with friends on a Saturday afternoon. Great track and friendly staff although be warned you must arrive 30mins early or they won't let you take part at all
