Located in the centre of Stratford upon Avon, The MAD (Mechanical Art and Design) Museum’s mesmerising array of Kinetic Art and Automata has been handcrafted by some of the cleverest and craziest inventors in the world.

There are buttons to press, handles to turn, lights, colours, weird sounds and laugh-out-loud moments for the younger generations to enjoy. There is also ingeniously exquisite pieces of imaginative art for adults of all ages.

  • This place is fantastic. Lovely staff, great fun exhibits. Free entry for kids with blue Peter badge. If u like quirky you'll love this place!
  • So much fun! We came away wanting to make our own, so we bought some of the kits and can't wait to try. So much to see in a small place - each piece is worth a good ten minutes of study, seeing how it varies, what happens in synchronisation and what alternates. Fascinating.
  • Fantastic for all the family. Especially as you can go in and out throughout the day. My 4 year old loved it, and so did I
  • Inventive , Imaginative & Wacky ! What a great place to spend an hour or two , worth £8 & if you've got kids they'll love it too.
  • A brilliant way to spend half a day. The small space has masses to see and do, including some captivating hands on stuff. Well worth it!
