  • Fantastic day out to the Vintage Christmas Market and Trips on the little Train. Everyone there was very helpful and very informative. The atmosphere was lovely and we all spent hours enjoying ourselves. The whole family went into the cafe and had very tasty food and drink, also burgers on the station platform, then to round up the day a visit to the sidings into a carriage which houses the Bar, we had a very nice Mulled Aspal Cider. Thank you to everyone at Mid- Suffolk Light Railway , I would recommend this venue to everyone
  • On yesterday's RAR (real ale runabout) from Ipswich this was our first port of call. Marvellous welcome😍 with fabulous steam trains working and under restoration. Pies and ale for sale, as well as the usual tea, coffee etc. Burgers and pasties too! We will be back. Jane Scott Ipswich & East Suffolk CAMRA Social Secretary
  • I once visited on a Sunday towards the end of summer and it was closed, so check opening times first. It's a unique experience for anyone who hasn't seen a steam train before (or just wants a nostalgia trip) and well worth a visit, especially if you aren't able to visit the better known steam railways around the UK. The locomotive is small and the track is short, maybe 1/4 mile, but it tries to be authentic with staff dressed in period costume and rides in genuine refurbished carriages. Ah, the smell of smoke.... It is one of the best value outings I've come across, with the modest entry fee apparently lasting for a whole year.
  • Lovely Museum. On running days a small industrial steam loco plods up & down. Staff are dressed in uniform and are very friendly. Café is well priced. Pay once, ride all day. Great Experience – Thank You.
  • Have joined as a Life Member, and also as a volunteer. Lovely museum with a really friendly atmosphere.
