  • A wonderful little railway that oozes charm, giving an idea of how a rural railway would have looked at the turn of the century. All trains are steam hauled with vintage carriages. Exceptionally friendly staff (who are all volunteers) who are really happy to talk and tell you more about the railway. It has a good little museum of site giving the history of the original railway, and a real ale bar and a cafe.
  • On yesterday's RAR (real ale runabout) from Ipswich this was our first port of call. Marvellous welcome😍 with fabulous steam trains working and under restoration. Pies and ale for sale, as well as the usual tea, coffee etc. Burgers and pasties too! We will be back. Jane Scott Ipswich & East Suffolk CAMRA Social Secretary
  • On the day I went there were 4 engines running. There were also some vintage cars.
  • Fantastic day out to the Vintage Christmas Market and Trips on the little Train. Everyone there was very helpful and very informative. The atmosphere was lovely and we all spent hours enjoying ourselves. The whole family went into the cafe and had very tasty food and drink, also burgers on the station platform, then to round up the day a visit to the sidings into a carriage which houses the Bar, we had a very nice Mulled Aspal Cider. Thank you to everyone at Mid- Suffolk Light Railway , I would recommend this venue to everyone
  • kids love it as they get to dress up and ride the train
