  • The museum has moved to a new home as part of the renovated Lewis Castle. Full of informative displays including a lot of personal stories and multimedia which help to bring the history to life. As with most Scottish museums it is free, though you can make a donation to help funding. Has a selection of the famous Lewis Chessmen on display. Would be nice if it was bigger and at least one exhibition room wasn't open when we visited, but it was only the second day of opening. Well worth a visit.
  • Neat little museum, though sizable given the general small town vibe of the Isles. Interesting place to visit for sure.
