  • If your thinking of hiring or buying a kilt I can't recommend Hendersons enough. They have helped us with kilts for me son's wedding, and coped with the lads not living in Scotland and lots of remote ...  read more »

  • Absolutely top notch! Ann was outstanding and set up me up on short notice. Great shop. Conveniently located. Great options. I would highly recommend.
  • I have used House of Henderson’s on a number of occasions now for various formal functions and am always delighted with the service. My most recent kilt rental was for a wedding and I recommended Hendersons to a couple of my friends - we got our kilts fitted at convenient times and I picked them all up the day before the wedding, easy! Thanks again, Euan.
  • I hired a kilt from this place for my graduation. Some weeks previous to hiring it I went in to be measured up. This is one of those dusty, miserable establishments where a smile is seen as an odd gesture. I could deal with that. I was bruskly dealt with and told to return with a form of identification on the day. I paid the deposit. On returning for the kilt on the MORNING of my graduation I was informed that my Driving Licence and Student Card (old type) were not valid as ID because thay didn't have a photo. They would only hand over the outfit if I left another £400 deposit. Yes £400. Too much to take out of a cash point in one day on my account at the time. My Father and Grandmother used their cards to get the money. I had no choice. When the pincer of a woman was asked if she would be prepared to ruin her son's big day over something so trivial she replied that she most certainly would. Try your luck with these scoundrels by all means. Incidentally the kilts are low qual and over used, and the shirt was a fair few shades off white. Much better off taking the trip to Glasgow or Edinburgh where the choice is infinitely better and you might be treated like a human being.
  • Hired a kilt here for a wedding. First time - last time. Paid double what I usually pay. Waistcoat was too small, which I realised at the wedding - bad measuring or I was given a different one from the one ordered. Worst of all the whole outfit smelled of another man. Sweat, aftershave and a hint of smoke. The shirt was worst, so this may have just stained all in the bag. Too late to return as I had to head to the wedding. Quick washed the shirt to get at least a clean layer on the skin. Still very poor for an 80 pound kilt hire. On return I was going to complain but the person that received the kilt was swearing about the amount of kilts coming back that day and I realised they wouldn't care as I wasn't even asked if everything was ok with the hire.
  • I have hired kilts from here on numerous occasions and I couldn't have been happier with the quality of product and the service I received. The outfit fitted perfectly and I drew much attention in the popular silver spirit tartan. I would recommend this highland outfitters to anyone.
