We visited for a guided tasting in late September. We had a great time. We did the Deanston family tasting, which was educational and fun. We really enjoyed it. It's clear the staff at the distillery take a lot of pride in their whisky and they enjoy sharing it with visitors. The gift shop was lovely too. We brought home a bottle of a distillery exclusive whisky, and we're so glad we get to enjoy a piece of Deanston at home. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth a visit!

First time visiting Deanston distillery, we went to the coffee bothy for lunch and expected a coffee and cafe selection, instead we found a lovely cafe with a fantastic menu, very comfortable surroundings and friendly helpful staff. Daily specials giving extra choice. The food was amazing and plentiful. Also very covid safe. The cafe is fairly small so during mid and high season I would imagine booking is essential. We also visited the shop on the way out and left with some very nice whisky and other mementos of our visit, highly recommended.

My wife brought me the “Warehouse 4 Experience” for my birthday. It was essentially a guided whiskey tasting, which suited me as I’ve done more distillery tours than I can remember. Brian, our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and as warm as the whiskey we tasted. The selection of 3 whiskeys we worked our way through were carefully chosen and straight from the barrel. The journey through the gradually increasing complexity was an absolute joy. One of my favourite distillery experiences. Oh, and free EV charging in the car park was a real bonus.

Deanston Distillery was well known on its Bourbon casks maturation whiskies for years. Upon this new visit in Nov 2021, I tried some sherry casks matured whiskies in warehouse tasting, it is amazingly well balanced in flavours, palate, complexity in sherry layers. Good to know that they have great experiments on sherry and bourbon casks marriage for further flavours profile enrichment. The distillation progress of using reflex balls in still shape bringing more copper contacts with new makes further create more fruity flavours to its whiskies. I believe Deanston can bring some more complexity in sherry and bourbon casks whisky in coming years. Well done!

Really lovely Christmas market today. Could have spent a lot more if I hadn't already bought Xmas presents and if I had wanted a gift from Santa. Will definitely go again next year. Distillery shop and café were also very festive; really buzzing and we were there towards the end of the afternoon.
