  • There is only a small charge to enter this museum & it is well worth it. There is plenty to see that gives you this history of what happened on Jersey during the war. Highly recommend.  more »
  • We looked at Trip and saw the wonderful reviews. It was after closing time when we looked this up and it showed ‘Closed Now’. What it doesn’t say that it is closed now until March 2018! But we had a n...  more »
  • Well worth 1/2 day visit. Took local transport and absorbed the history. Fantastic collection of actual weapons from the German occupation period.  more »

  • What a stunning hidden gem. A lovingly operated museum that welcomes the visitor and recreates a feeling of the occupation of the island with first hand experienced from both sides. The attention to the museum equipment and layout is spot on creating a real feeling of life in the bunker whilst compiling a comprehensive experience of the war years. Many photos and little touches for serious history buffs like myself with huge detail provided in the displays. Seeing all the equipment and repair kits and necessary tools of war shows the size of what was achieved during a difficult period. Proprietor was a wonderfully friendly gentleman who put me completely at ease. So much to see in a relatively small museum but excellent value for money. Loved it.
  • A slightly eclectic collection but lots of content and thoroughly researched information all housed in a concrete gun bunker. Recommended.
  • So worth the visit. We were in Jersey for a week, and I wanted to see as many of the German occupation sites as possible. We had already visited Batterie Lothringen and had been recommended the Channel Islands Military Museum. It was fascinating, so much detail and so many personal stories of the occupation years. I think it's one of those places that if you were lucky enough to live locally, you visit regularly and see something different that you had missed every time. There were two different gentleman on the door, one when we went in and another when we left. Both were real characters, and were part of the experience. My husband was sorely tempted by the offer of swapping me for a couple of pieces of artillery. I think he was cursing luggage allowances. But seriously, the time slipped away very easily and we would certainly return if we are lucky enough to get back to Jersey. If it was a straight choice, I would prefer to visit here than The War Tunnels to be honest.
  • Great little museum concentrating on the WW2 occupation of the islands.Well worth a visit if you are interested in that history period.
  • Well worth the visit. To see the many things here from newspapers to an enigma machine. Getting to see inside a bunker as well was interesting.
