  • The castle is in ruins, but still you can imagine its size and structure. It is located on the coast and completely alone. He road to get from St. Helier is very nice, both if going by the road of the coast as by the inside through fields. Worth that stroll, and end up in the pretty village of St Monans, whose Church and cemetery are the most picturesque.

  • The ruin is on the path of a scenic walk and is very interesting to look at. However there is no real information at hand near the place so read up before you go. It is also totally unsafe and it can only be said that it is dangerous to enter. Viewing from outside is good.
  • It is nice because of the proximity of the coast, and the fife coastal path, is really amazing!
  • The castle is in very poor condition and it is better not to get into it but the views of the rocks looking towards the South during the low tide are quite recommended, so is a visit to the dovecot (colomer) on the side and the view that there is no to St Monans.
