  • Although it only opens at the weekends this time of year it is still worth going and the big plus is that you do not have to pay the £3 carpark fee but still get to stroll around the exterior. Dear ol...  more »
  • We tried to visit, but the English Heritage website specified different opening hours to those on the sign that we found when we arrived to find it closed... spoilt an otherwise good visit to St Mawes...  more »
  • Wonderful historic castle with exceptional views across the Fal estuary. The site manager is a great chap and has the history of the castle at his fingertips,

  • You need to go on a sunny day to appreciate the view over the ocean and pendennis castle. Not sure of the history of the place as they had run out of audioguides and the only alternative was to buy a guidebook. Advise to bring a picnic, as there is no tearoom on site or nearby but there is definately plenty of space in the gardens or surrounding area to enjoy a picnic with beautiful scenery and view
  • If you are in the area this is well worth the visit. The audio tour is good and well laid out. If you are in Falmouth it's definitely worth coming over by ferry for a few hours to visit.
  • Worth a visit for the views. Maybe on a good day though.
  • Nice for a half day visit. You need the audio guide to fully appreciate the experience, great views to check out after
  • Only saw it from the outside but looks well maintained by English Heritage.
