Cape Cornwall (Cornish: Kilgoodh Ust, meaning "goose back of St Just") is a small headland in West Cornwall, UK. It is four miles north of Land's End near the town of St Just. Until the first Ordnance Survey, 200 years ago, Cape Cornwall was believed to be the most westerly point in Cornwall.Make Cape Cornwall a centerpiece of your St Just vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our St Just trip planning website.
Most of the headland is owned by the National Trust. National Coastwatch has a look-out on the seaward side. The only tourist infrastructure at present is a car park (owned by the National Trust), public toilets, and a refreshments counter during the summer.
The Brisons, two offshore rocks, are located approximately one mile southwest of Cape Cornwall. They mark the starting line of the annual swimming race ending at Priest Cove.

Fabulous views of the Cornish coast and out to sea. Amazing Tin mine chimney on the headland. Worth the short walk up from the car park. more »

Lovely National Trust employee spoke to us when we parked up. We paid £1 to park for an hour which was plenty of time to reach the top, take lots of pictures and soak in the views and return to the..... more »

Stunning that's all I can say once at the top by the tower it takes your breath away. Two paths hard and easier but you still have to be reasonably fit to reach the top but we'll worth the effort. more »

The monument of Cape Cornwall is erected just at the end of a very small peninsula which is almost completely surrounded by the sea. From the top of this small peninsula, or cliff, you can enjoy the view of other cliffs, rocks and a couple of rocky islands into the sea as well. Just amazing. At the bottom of the hill there are some ruins of a church which are nothing special per se, but which becomes another little gem when you look at the panorama surrounding them.

I just spent 5 days in St Just. Our host was the most gracious woman. Her home was beautiful and we ate like royalty. Views of the Atlantic to the right and beautiful hills and fields to the left were breathtaking. Visits to Lands End and St Ives were magical. Highly recommend this area.
