  • Great time very intense g. The old workshops are just as they always were and the kilns now a heritage site protected for future generations. Great fun was the chance to play with clay. Some beautiful pots to see in the gallery and a most interesting film produce in 1952 of the pottery and Bernard Leach at work. Narrated by Bernard Leach. Very enjoyable morning.
  • We turned up at 10:30 just in time for the free guided tour. The tour was excellent as there were many questions answered which gave more information on things you could see. The tour takes you though the processes of pottery add experienced by Bernard Leach from delivery to firing in the kilns. It also explains how the pottery was extended physically, technologically and made a viable working pottery.
  • Incredibly good pottery - useful and beautiful. The exhibition and potters room are really vreat to visit - worth an entrance fee.
  • I had a wonderful time here. It's very calming (though there are activity stations laid out for younger visitors I went on a school day) and it's worth watching the video of Leach himself explaining what they do at the pottery. There's also a wide selection of really gorgeous handmade items available to buy so be prepared!
  • Small but very interesting watch the video in the first room 30min but worth it. Take some spending money if your a pottery lover as the shop is full of amazing works of art.

Where to stay in St Ives

A guest room along one of the cobbled Victorian streets, such as Fore Street, provides access to pubs, restaurants and the harbor. For spectacular views over the sea, consider a hotel near the water. Book harborside lodging early because seaside rooms fill up fast, especially during the holiday season. Inland from the southern coastline, renovated shepherd's huts and cottages provide shelter among the hills.
