  • We visited this excellent place when it was closed , but for a donation we were welcome to look round this well kept sanctuary!

  • The best animal place we visited in Cornwall. The owls shows are long and interesting. You get a chance to hold an owl, pet it and learn about their background from the keepers. It's truly an owl sanctuary with large variety of owls. Keep up the amazing work!
  • A great 'family friendly' place to visit. Regular flying displays take place throughout the day (weather permitting) which are fun and informative. In addition, a selection of the birds are taken to an area where the public can see them up close and where appropriate 'stroke' them under the supervision of the staff. Each bird is introduced and their story told by their handler who are obviously very knowledgeable and caring for the birds and other animals in their care. There is a cafe on site which sells a good range of drinks and snacks including delicious cream teas!
  • We had a very warm welcome by who we presume was the owner/manager who explained everything about the sanctuary before we went in. The owls (and the other animals) are in spacious enclosures and the trained birds are allowed to get out and have exercise as part of the flight demonstrations 3 times a day. There was an enclosure which would potentially upset smaller children (the owls food was on the floor) but this is due to the owls becoming very territorial with their chicks preventing the staff from entering the enclosure, this is a working sanctuary after all. If you are a fan of animals, in particular owls and other birds this is a lovely place to visit if you are in the area.
  • This is an absolutely fantastic place! Since getting a DSLR, I've been looking for nice places with wildlife on offer and the owls here make for gorgeous subjects. There's a wide variety of them, as well as alpacas, meerkats, emus and more! Great place to take the kids, but great fun for adults, too. Especially on the first weekend of each month, when entry is cheaper; I only paid £5 to get in on one of those days, versus the usual £10
  • Great day out. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. My daughter said she "wants to be an Owl doctor"
