  • My first time ever at St Andrews. Can't wait to go back. Great town, great courses.
  • As here with school pupils who were treated like golf stars and loved their day out, brilliant service.
  • You need to play it once here. No cart allowed unless you have proof of in need so you have to hire a caddie from the course.
  • What can one say? My only complaint was the group in front of us with caddies. They slowed us down too much. You can play without caddies and I would suggest doing so. Otherwise the history, the wind, the views, the greens, the bunkers, the Road Hole, the memories just make this a bucket list experience.
  • Top course and experience at the home of golf...

Where to stay in St. Andrews

less expensive lodging and luxury rental apartments are located around the town center and the university buildings. Be sure to book accommodations overlooking the sea and St. Andrew Cathedral ruins early, because they fill up fast during the good weather months. Rental properties in the town center on narrow streets, such as Market Street, are within walking distance of the main architectural and cultural attractions. Save money by renting a room farther west of the town center. These are residential neighborhoods that are well-connected to the town center but offer quiet nights and inexpensive nightly rates.
