St Andrews Botanic Garden is a 4 star Scottish Tourist Board Garden. With 18 dazzling acres, 2000m2 of heated display houses and 8000 different plant taxa, the Garden delights in all seasons. The Gruffalo trail, childrens activities and exotic plants like bananas, kiwis and tomato trees make the garden fun for all the family.

Entry is £5/4.50 for adults, FREE for under 18, students and Friends of the Garden.

  • Beautiful place. Had great weather when I was there so it was a really enjoyable walk round the gardens. Went to see the butterflies too. Amazing.
  • The Botanic Gardens is a great place to visit when in St Andrews. The gardens have areas by temperate areas. Plus there is a butterfly house that is well worth a visit.
  • We loved our visit here. Reasonable price for entry beautiful grounds. Definitely bring a picnic and take in nature.

  • We had a lovely afternoon here with a visit to the new butterfly house, a great selection of butterflies that were very inquisitive and landing all over us. A lovely garden to walk round and several greenhouses with a selection of exotic plants
