Where to stay in St. Andrews

less expensive lodging and luxury rental apartments are located around the town center and the university buildings. Be sure to book accommodations overlooking the sea and St. Andrew Cathedral ruins early, because they fill up fast during the good weather months. Rental properties in the town center on narrow streets, such as Market Street, are within walking distance of the main architectural and cultural attractions. Save money by renting a room farther west of the town center. These are residential neighborhoods that are well-connected to the town center but offer quiet nights and inexpensive nightly rates.

  • A great and friendly team that know their stuff. My girlfriend and I went on a tour for our anniversary. While the walk through didn't take long, Lara our guide took us through the whole process of the Gin, whisky and ale brewing including the hand bottled filling. A few tasters later and we walked out with a fair few bottles of Gin and beer with great help from Chris, who on his first day, went above and beyond. We're already ready planning our return trip.
  • Nice bottles but the gin is a bit ropey for my taste. Not very smooth and in my opinion you need a lot of lime / cucumber / whatever and tonic to make it drinkable. Plenty of classics out there on the market for a lot less and a lot nicer. Fair enough in giving the gin a go though. Makes sense to try and make money before the whisky is ready. Also..it's in guardbridge not St. Andrews !
  • 5 ***** for the passion and enthusiasm, with which the company is daily run! And another 5 for that scenic drive. To St Andrews, from where Guardbridge is located northwest, just a couple of miles away. Highly recommend a visit there.
  • After rave reviews from friends, I finally managed to sample the Eden Mill product and boy was I not disappointed. A very informative and light-hearted tour from our knowledgeable guide Steve. We started off with a lovely gin and pink grapefruit before finishing with three of their other gins.
  • We did the beer tour, which was good- particularly the flight of 8 beers at the end! :) Our guide, Callum was engaging and entertaining! We'll be back to do the gin tour!
