  • This area occupies the site of the fourth largest Roman city in England (We "Picts" prevented them from occupying Scotland,so its worth seeing the answer to "What did the Romans ever do for us?" lol :...  read more »
  • The Museum is small, but condenses many centuries of history of what was once the third most important city in England. It is worth paying attention to the stories that he tells and know its contents carefully organized.

  • Lots to do, see and get involved in. Look on the website for special events and things on in school holidays
  • Stunning local museum, full of Roman history. Great for kids and grown ups, and free for residents. Combined tickets with the Roman Theatre are available, and the café in the park is nearby, as are a couple of decent pubs. Parking is £1.50 for two hours.
  • Nice place quite interesting. Im a teacher and went with a school group. The educational session was excellent and the facilities were good.
  • Very fun place to go to. I wish they updated to museum more as it has changed much since I have been in years past.
  • Informative but slighlty dated. Displays are exactly as I rember them when I was in primary school pre 2000.
  • For a small museum it packs a lot in. Easy lay out and great for kids who may lose interest in larger museums. Free to St Albans residents too.
