  • A small museum detailing the history of Roman colonisation in the town of Verulamium. A number of smaller artifacts, diagrams and drawings detail the lives of Roman citizens, and the rise and fall of the town. An hour was sufficient to read all the information in detail.
  • Stunning local museum, full of Roman history. Great for kids and grown ups, and free for residents. Combined tickets with the Roman Theatre are available, and the café in the park is nearby, as are a couple of decent pubs. Parking is £1.50 for two hours.
  • Unfortunately we never got to see the museum or the park. After spending over an hour trying to get a parking space we gave up and went to see the Roman Baths at Welwyn instead. Had the museum answered their telephone they may have been able to suggest alternative parking but unfortunately I didn't find out about this until after we had left. I am still waiting for my call to be returned!!
  • Some good stuff but orientated towards kids
  • Nice place quite interesting. Im a teacher and went with a school group. The educational session was excellent and the facilities were good.
