  • If you are in the area this is castle/manor is worth a visit. It is well maintained and there is no charge to get in. Young children would enjoy it as a place to explore and run around.
  • Lovely ruined castle in the village of Spofforth which is between a Harrogate and Wetherby. It is free to enter the grounds and looks better from within the ground than looking at it from the outside....  read more »
  • Had a visit here the other day. It's owned by English Heritage but is free to visit. Not a huge site but interesting all the same.
  • Nice little ruin, big grass area leading up to the castle, notice many houses opposite are built with the stone from the ruin. Well worth a visit. Behind is the old disused Wetherby rail track.
  • Ruins of a small mediaeval house.
