  • Whilst being far superior than Odeon cinemas the Vue here in Southport still needs to improve and keep on the ball. Because there is no competition nearby, you've either got Switch Island Odeon (awful) or Preston (never been) the staff here kind of take their customers for granted, because there's nowhere else for the people of Southport/Formby to go. I'm not sure if this is a management issue, or that they haven't hired staff with communication skills, as they nearly all look like they don't want to be there. Queuing to pay is an absolute pain, often there's only one member of staff serving and if the person in front of you wants ice cream and drinks then be prepared for a long wait, I've missed a couple of starts because of this. It is also a little too expensive, but I guess the higher quality of the experience once you're in the theatre makes up for this. Good points: Many. Wonderfully comfortable seats, even if a 6" + person sits in font of you then you can still see (the Odeon is terrible for this). The screens are huge and just better than everywhere else and the sound quality is amazing, the best.
  • not enough variety of films on during peak times. Comfy seats and great view. Need more films on.
  • Vue provide a great cinema experience although it is overpriced as many so often are nowadays. Good parking and plenty of screens. The best offers are the kids AM screenings allowing recent children's films to be watched at an affordable price.
  • Love But cinema. The layout is great as seats are a good size and nicely spaced with an unobstructed view.
  • Movie was interrupted half way through and everyone was told to evacuate. Really disgruntled looking employee tells everyone to go back 2 mins later and said it was a false alarm. They made up for it with a free voucher, through. But a lot of people got really scared and didn't come back.
