  • Good place to take young children on a fine day! Nice play areas, lots of space to run, caged birds to look at and cheap crazy golf to play in the summer! Great place to take a picnic!
  • Compact, yet when you are there, the gardens feel much larger. There is a playground, mini golf, lake (with boats in Summer), with its bridges and pathways, ducks, swans and geese, some of which raise...  more »
  • The Gardens have a host of attractions and lovely walks. From the lakes and their ducks, the aviary, the fernery and the garden centre, there are also a host of events throuighout the year.

  • Lovely Park for a walk or to take the dogs. Has nice little cafe selling refreshments. Play area for young kids and an other for slightly older kids. They also have bands playing every now and then, weather permitting. There is a small car park at the rear with a few disabled spaces.
  • The buildings may have lost a little of their Victorian splendor, but the gardens themselves are well maintained and good for a lap or two. Cheap and cheerful cafe. Most people park on the road, but there's actually quite a lot of (currently free) parking off Verulam Road. You'll need a 20p if you wish to spend a penny.
  • Beautiful gardens with plenty to do including mini-golf, adventure play areas, bowling green, open spaces for ball games, animals and a quaint cafe selling some excellent ice cream. The brass bands on summer sundays are the personal highlight for me
  • Great little park, well looked after. Good place to spend some time on a nice day.
  • Lovely place to go in all seasons, kids play area , large duck ponds , plenty of grass to run about and even a couple of secret tunnels . Ice cream parlor Aviary and shop .
