  • If you've not discovered this gem, just outside Southport itself, you don't know what you're missing. We decided as the sun was shining to take a look at somewhere other than the sea front and what jo...  read more »
  • Pleasant little park with a lake, fernery and aviary. Greasy spoon cafe on site. Signage is poor, it took us ages to find the car park!
  • With Aviaries, lakeside walk & a Cafe, this is ideal for a gentle stroll & snack to pass an hour or so.
  • The buildings may have lost a little of their Victorian splendor, but the gardens themselves are well maintained and good for a lap or two. Cheap and cheerful cafe. Most people park on the road, but there's actually quite a lot of (currently free) parking off Verulam Road. You'll need a 20p if you wish to spend a penny.
  • The best of the parks in the local area. Worth a visit if for nothing more than to have a chat with the African grey parrots, top tip; they become even more chatty if you have sunflower seeds for them!
  • I've had many happy days here as a kid and upon returning as an adult, I was not disappointed by how clean and we'll kept the gardens are. A credit to the staff.
  • Part of what makes Southport - lovely in summer!
  • A great place to go on a sunny day and the park is fabulous for small children.
