  • This shop has helpful, knowledgeable staff, an AMAZING selection of guitars that you will not find in many stores and great prices! A bonus is that the staff are there to help you, not rip you off. Ev...  more »
  • I came in a couple of weeks ago and bought a PRS S2 Singlecut. I wanted a guitar I could gig to death and tour without being overly precious about. Despite being a PRS player for years, I didn't know ...  more »
  • No. Too expensive Disinterested and generally surly staff. A nice visual touch with the shop front but that's it. I won't be back

  • I have been using The Guitar Store since it started (when it was called M.M.). I have never had a bad experience. I have always been looked after really well and felt comfortable and welcome. I have never been over charged for anything, in fact I would say that the opposite was the case. Today was no exception when Jamie phoned me to tell me that he had sorted the stereo socket problem on my National Style 1 fitted with a Highlander Magnophonic pick up (I had previously been told by an "expert" that it was unlikely that a socket problem could be fixed by itself). Whilst the guitar was there, Jamie also fixed a nut slot problem (two slots, actually). The bill was so low that I was embarrassed and insisted on paying a bit more for such brilliant service. I don't understand the comments I have seen about staff having no knowledge and I know the man who does their acoustic guitar work and he is one of the leading acoustic guitar people in the country as anyone who knows anything about acoustic guitars would know. The Guitar Store is a great shop; I too have spent time in other guitar shops (including some quite famous ones in and around the capital) and that's why, even when I've had money to burn (rarely) I've gone straight to the Guitar Store.
  • This place is great. Friendly helpful staff and decent products. Decent when it comes to sorting out any issues, and happy to assist. Noice.
  • A proper old-school guitar store with an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable owner. Great advice without the hard-sell.
  • I was very impressed with the level service I received from The Guitar Store. Even as an international buyer, the transaction was made easy with prompt feedback to all queries, postage taken care of(at a reduced price) and even additional pictures of the product supplied before purchase. The Guitar Store came through when other stores were putting international buyers in the too hard basket. Many thanks Colin.
  • The staff were absolutely fantastic! So friendly!! We'd had a bit of a mix up with a guitar. The one we had boxed wasn't the one we chose but, I can only assume, the shop owner checked the online store for the one we chose with no luck and offered us an exchange for the same guitar or a slightly more expensive guitar at no extra price!! Could not fault the service one little bit. They were so helpful and apologetic. We have one happy 13 year old brother and We will definitely be returning again!!! Thank you!!
