  • Lovely local unspoilt open space. Great big lake to walk around with ducks, geese, swans and the odd heron. Plenty of woodland trails and large open grassy areas. Children's park well equipped and parking usually available. Lots of benches for enjoying views and having a picnic. Tennis courts too.
  • Something for everyone. Great playground for kids which is well maintained. Clean brook and lake with a variety of ducks, swans, geese and other water fowl. Good walks around the park accessible by wheelchair and the paths are good, not dirt tracks! The park is a good size and is popular with cyclists and dog walkers. Lovely church on top of the hill. (My kids used to like rolling down the hill and climbing the trees too).
  • This is easily the best "all-in-one" park in Birmingham. If you fancy a leisurely stroll - you can spend an hour ambling along the various paths and around the lake. Fancy a more rugged challenge ? There's the north end of the park which really makes feel you are out in the woods. Suitable for jogging, kicking the ball round, or just walking. Sizable kids play area too. So why only 4 stars ? I'm afraid a few park users let everyone else down by not clearing up after their dog! I'm not referring to young dog owners - they're actually responsible! I'm referring to you 50/60 somethings who find the idea of picking up dog litter and recycling plastics an alien, maybe "foreign" concept. Stop being selfish and lazy!
  • Nature park which is beautiful any time of the year. There's lots of parts to this park so you either need to go exploring for a whole day or go on lots of days to discover it's history and its vast hidden away secrets of fauna and flora.
  • Huge and diverse park. From football pitches and tennis courts to woodland and meadows this park has it all. Hidden in its depths is a walled garden that was once the biggest in England. With ponds and hills, tarmac paths and trails and all with easy access from all sides there on something for everyone.
