  • Great environment, gives a tropical holiday feel. Best enjoyed when the weather is good. Nice place for evening entertainment. Jerk chicken looks and smells great on the grill. Drinks/cocktails could be improved as well the presentation of food. But overall a nice place to spend time.
  • Such a wonderful, unique atmosphere. So relaxing that you can completely forget that you are still in Solihull! Food is great, cakes are all delicious (believe me I have tried most) and staff are engaged and efficient. Love this place x
  • I visited Akamba today with my partner. After taking a look around the beautiful gardens, we decided to head inside to order some food. We went to the bar and were served by a female member of staff, who seemed very put out to be doing her job. After giving us a dirty look after enquiring about the two for one cocktail offer, she was rude and seemed to throw her weight around. We felt sorry for a taller female member of staff who also came to serve us and seemed lovely - the shorter lady snapped at her and the nicer staff member seemed to be aware of the other's attitude. We are both aware of how difficult working in customer service can be, having experience in this sector ourselves. However, we came at a quiet time and there were now apparent reasons for this staff member to be under stress.I hope this is noted, as it spoiled an otherwise pleasant visit, resulting in us choosing to leave and eat elsewhere.
  • Small but with very friendly staff. Experience with the reptiles can be found nowhere. Nice food in the restaurant, and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
  • Went for lunch the food was delicious! Reptile house was great fun for the whole family, staff really friendly and encouraging with holding the animals. Great price too. Can't fault it :-)
