Skegness Pier, Skegness

3.7
For a breath of fresh air, head to Skegness Pier on the sea front. There is an endless list of activities and sights to enjoy for all ages. Practice your skills in the bowling alley, which also offers laser bowling. Duck and dodge in the laser tag facility, play Arabian camel racing, feel like a kid again in the state-of-the-art arcade with the latest video games, or just walk the pier and enjoy watching boats and birds skim the water. When you need to rest, there are cafes, restaurants, and snack shops available with a huge variety of drinks and food. Visitors tend to especially enjoy the ice cream, baguettes, and freshly ground coffee. Plan my Skegness trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

  • We only did a day trip but always like to go on the pier. Lots of entertainment, in slot machines, rides & cafes. Always like to walk to the end of the pier and just stare out to sea. Very relaxing on...  more »
  • We had a great afternoon on the pier, it's August holidays so of course it was hugely busy but it was still enjoyable  more »

  • The main section of the pier which included a theatre disappeared years ago after a storm and fire. All that remains is a small section to walk along with seating which is pleasant enough. An amusement arcade which pays out 10000000 tickets in return for cheap tat worth a fraction of the price and heavily weighted 2p push machines that are clearly never going to drop anything. Other machines happily take your cash but then don't work properly. There are also bowling lanes and a cafe.
  • Pretty but short. Not much to promenade down but it was prettily decked with bunting and offered great photo opportunities. Reasonably proved parking available nearby and plenty of attractions nearby, including the fair rides, beach and seaside town of Skegness. A bouncy castle with strictly enforced rules was available at the entrance to the pier when we visited.
  • First time we've in FIVE years. Nothing much changed. Toilets at top of where clock tower is next to big car park STILL nasty. Only redeeming grace is you no longer have to PAY to pee. Best bit, why 4 stars, is the East beach is for DOGS! We visited to take our dog to this beach. She loved it. Frolicking thru the waves and running about off lead, perfect. Some toilets down that end would be brill. Also more dog 💩 bins please. Peaceful, with not many folks 👍👍
  • Really good value for money, in particular the captain kids, kids can go off and play while parents can relax watch kids climb above their heads
  • It's really fun here with interactive games, arcade machines that you can't really see anywhere else! It's just the closing time that is annoying because others close at 11pm and maybe even midnight so it closes a little early.. Apart from that it's good for kids and under 5s. They have tickets too that you can save up for amazing prizes!!! Will always go to this arcade! 😀😀😀

Modern seaside resorts line the beach and main roads. The entire town is designed to be a family-friendly resort, so the selection of lodging is primarily modern hotels. For longer stays, consider a spacious holiday camper near the beach.
