  • We visited the aquarium on a family day out and had an excellent time. We were 3 adults, a 13 year old and a 2 year old and it was suitable for everyone. Very relaxing watching the fish, the divers we...  more »

  • We went to the aquarium as we had never been. It was rather similar to seal life centres. The cost was £32 for a family of 4. It only took us around 1 hour to get around the whole place so my only neg...  more »

  • It is quite a small aquarium compared to some larger well known ones but I thought it was excellent. The tanks are very clean and contain a very nice selection of fish, inverts and a limited selection of corals. The tank inhabitants look very healthy and 'at home'. Lovely to sit and watch fish schooling naturally in the very large tank. Not so sure about the suitability of keeping an octopus in captivity but that applies to any aquarium centre. The staff are very friendly and well informed on the inhabitants. I really enjoyed the visit!
  • We visited here on a gloomy March much needed get out the house day. Staff were very friendly and they all had a smile when we were greeted. I'd heard mixed reviews about it so I was dubious. Though it isn't a very big place, it was an experience wed not had before. They had an area where at certain times of the day you could go and they gave talks about the crabs they have, my children and I loved this and it was very informative. Walking round was nice to see so many different types of fish. You can see divers go into the tanks and feed the fish, this is interactive and was very interesting. There is a cafe and toddlers play area upstairs, this was easily accessed for my daughter who is in a wheelchair by lift as is the rest of the place.
  • Great fun. There are lots of different types of fish and information about them. Excellent large cafe with play area for children.
  • Fantastic facility with extremely knowledgeable, polite and professional staff. My three children (8, 5 and 16 months) all loved it.
  • It is new and the aquariums are very good, but it is just too small and you're round it too quickly to warrant the £10 per head entry fee. If you've got little ones you can do the quiz on the way round to fill more time, but if you're grown and just enjoy sealife, then you get round it in less than 45 mins even taking your time to take it in. You're enjoying it and suddenly your in the gift shop. Brighton is far superior for about the same entry fee. Sorry.
