Meander through The Quarry, a 11 hectare (29 acre) park conviently located close to town. Leave the busy life behind and take a walk through the park to the river. Relax on a bench or have a picnic in the grass. Look for the Dingle, a formal flower garden with a landscaped pond, designed over 30 years by a master gardener. • I was so surprised to find the Quarry Gardens - so beautifully maintained and landscaped - well worth a visit
  • stumbled across these gardens and they were beautiful. Lovely pond, fountains and statues hidden away.
  • Thats great place to relax when you are in Shrewsbury, almost all over the year. You can grab cup of coffee or ice cream on the go and enjoy walk along the river or just lay down on the grass and listen to the live music from Band stand on Sunday afternoon. I especially love the Dingle gardens, so peaceful, full of colourful flowers and plants , changed every season, there is pond and fountains. Joy for your eyes.
  • A great park to hang out with easy access to the town. The kids love the play area which is still undergoing a revamp but hope the new water park will be ready in time for summer. Also host various fairs, Food Festivals and the Shrewsbury Flowershow. If the sun is out it's worth popping over just to chill
  • Shrewsbury is very lucky to have such a huge area of green space so close to town. A beautiful place. I would personally like to see a few more 'wild' corners to attract wildlife. It is a little sterile in this respect other than a tiny strip along the river.
  • The jewel in Shrewsbury's crown a lovely open space two minutes walk from the town centre with close access to food and drink. Also host's a park run every Saturday morning.
  • Absolutely beautiful setting, great for a stroll. Events held here are also great.
