There are open spaces where kids can play freely. Put Attingham Park into our Shrewsbury itinerary builder to see other points of interest to visit during your vacation in Shrewsbury.

  • A firm favourite, we go back week after week. Great kids play , bridge for pooh sticks, house is interesting. Good cafes and catering at various places, the site is always being improved. We take our dog and he enjoys lots of different walks (mainly on lead walks, but there are a couple of fields where you can let him off the lead). Was once a training base for WWII pilots, a hospital, an education centre. Santa's Grotto is the best going, walk through the wardrobe to a snowy approach then Santa by a fire. Dear rutting in October is worth going to, as are the various food events throughout the year.
  • Great place to visit . Always worth a Sunday afternoon. Nice walks and super kitchen garden. House is very interesting, liked the servants quarters with information on individual people.
  • If you have children, and you want to visit a great NT with amazing grounds this is the place to go. The play area is enormous and it will keep children entertained for hours, whilst giving the adults a rest from the long woodland walk! Simply my personal favourite NT.
  • Great spot. Don't miss the deer park and the magical ancient tree. No hippy dippy stuff here but great to think what that tree has 'seen'. Fantastic kids play field, good spot for a family picnic.
  • Beautiful place to visit. The walks are wonderful the play area is good and the house is beautiful. And if you time it Wright you can see the deer.
