  • Nice little market, under cover good cheap products. I bought a dog bed from the pet stall ¬£10 for the biggest bed I've ever seen. Both our dogs fit on it and love it.
  • Small but good local market, in specially built barn like building. Usually a reasonable choice of good value stalls. Can get cold here on windy days.

  • Last Saturday and indeed several previous Saturdays my wife and l attended the second hand market. My wife is handicapped and has trouble walking. She has so much trouble weaving between customers and excess 2nd hand goods spread over the walkways! The walkways between the stalls are so full of things that the stallholders deemed fit to block them wherever possible! This also occurs on the Tuesday market also. One particular stallholder has taken it upon himself to plant a table a yard in front of his stall! Thus making a roundabout 2ft by 6ft. Added to this there are a large number of stallholders and customers who insist on smoking within the main building, not necessarily tobacco either, there are clear signs on most entryways but a verbal reminder might be a good deterrent.
  • Traditional, covered market. Saturdays, usual brick-a-brack, a few "usual traders", but also good number of "normal people" selling second hand stuff. Some good finds to be had. Good fruit and veg stall. Parking at Tesco nearby, though max 2 hour parking there. Easy walk from Huddersfield town center.
  • Charming open market. Lots of stalls selling a variety of bits and bobs. Nice for a quick walk around. There are a few nice places to eat around the edge of the market too. You can park in the Tesco and it's a stones throw.
  • Old and new very affordable prices
