The 8 km long Five Weirs Walk runs alongside the River Don in Sheffield, England. From Lady's Bridge in Sheffield City Centre, it heads downstream, northeast, over the Cobweb Bridge, through Attercliffe to Meadowhall.53°24′50″N 1°24′40″W / 53.414°N 1.411°W

As the name of the walk suggests, it passes five weirs. It is now possible to continue the walk along the Don, under the Tinsley Viaduct, to Rotherham. As of 2010, the section of the walk between Sheffield and Meadowhall has been linked with the parallel Sheffield and Tinsley Canal towpath as an 8-mile circular walk known as The Blue Loop.

  • Almost a secret beauty bordering an area of regeneration and one that tells a tale of historic industrialisation. The ducks make for a beautiful sight so the area could do with more benches. A few non...  more »
  • With a river running through the city I expected more. Disappointed. I was the only one walking and there was trash and weeds.  more »
  • Love going along this route especially in the summer. Lots of wildlife, great mixture of urban and rural scenery. Shame about the Yahoos who throw their rubbish all over the canal  more »
