  • Really interesting place. You will definitely leave here with something you didn't know. The water wheel was working when we went and was amazed to see it powering the sanding belt. Worth the visit.
  • I come here often. Kids go free and they can touch and re-enact. Excellent value, even when the weather is a bit poo!!
  • It is untouched since the 1800s, and you can see what life was back then. They have houses a water wheel and even a real blacksmith working! ... And the cafe's good!
  • Visited Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet today with the family and it was really interesting learning about steel making. The big water wheel is a must see as well as the visitor centre. Coffee and cakes were amazing and warmed us all up. 5 stars I will give this place.
  • A very interesting afternoon. It wasn't busy when we visited so we had a nosey stroll. Plenty to see. There is a cafe and toilets. The pathways are uneven and there are stairs to parts of it so these parts could prove difficult to for disabled person, depending on level and type of disability. We didn't use the cafe so can't comment apart from to say this is where you get your tickets from and the people running the cafe are very pleasant and helpful. The toilets are next to the cafe on the ground floor.
